【摘要】:ThisEuropeanStandardspecifiesamethodforthechromatographicdeterminationoftheamountofironchelatedbyeachoftheindividualisomersofthechelatingagentortho-paraEDDHA(o,p-EDDHA)infertilizers.Themethodallowstheidentificationofthischelatingagentandthedeterminationofthewatersolublefractionofironchelatedbythischelatingagent.Themethodisnotapplicableforthedeterminationoftheamountoffreechelatingagent.NOTE1Thismethodhasbeenshowntobealsosuitableforthedeterminationoftheamountofironchelatedbyeachoftheindividualisomersofthechelatingagentortho-orthoEDDHA(o,o-EDDHA)infertilizers.NOTE2o,o-EDDHAando,p-EDDHAareabbreviationsusedinthisEuropeanStandardforthesakeofsimplicity.ForcompletenamesseeAnnexC.NOTE3Thesubstanceso,o-EDDHAando,p-EDDHAbothexistasdifferentstereoisomers.Foro,o-EDDHAamesoformandad/lpair(theracemicisomers)exist,foro,p-EDDHAtwodifferentd/lpairsexist.Allfourstereoisomersareobservedseparatelyinthismethod.NOTE4Currently,ananalyticallypurestandardonlyexistsforo,o-EDDHA.Themethodforo,p-EDDHAhasbeendevelopedwithano,p-EDDHAstandardcontaininganuncertainconcentrationofo,p-EDDHA.
