【摘要】:WARNING—ThisInternationalStandardinvolvestheuseofcombustiblematerialsthatareexposedtoignitionsources.Theburningmaterialsemittoxiccombustionproducts.Theusershalltakeproperprecautionstoavoidthermalinjuryandinhalationofcombustionproducts.Theusershallensurethatallburninghasceasedbeforesafelydiscardingtestmaterials.ThisInternationalStandardprovidesastandardassessmentofthecapabilityofacigarette,positionedononeofthreestandardsubstrates,toextinguishortogeneratesufficientheattocontinueburning,andthuspotentiallycauseignitionofbeddingorupholsteredfurniture.ThisInternationalStandardisapplicabletofactory-madecigarettesthatburnalongthelengthofatobaccocolumn.Thisisaperformance-basedstandard;itdoesnotprescribeanydesignfeaturesofthecigarettethatmightleadtoimprovedordegradedperformanceinthetestmethod.Theoutputofthismethodhasbeencorrelatedwiththepotentialforcigarettestoigniteupholsteredfurniture.
