【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecalculatesequipmentmovementvelocity(EMV)basedonthemovementofequipment.1.2Thereisnoexisting,recognizedpracticeforcalculatingEMV.1.3Thispracticeisdesignedtobeapplicableandappropriateforallequipment-holdingentities.1.4Thispracticedoesnotcovermaterialinventory.Inventoryvelocity(orinventoryturns)isextensivelydescribedanddiscussedinsupplychainliteratureandisbasedonthroughputratherthanmovementtransactions.1.5EMVcanbecalculatedfortheentiretyoftheequipmentinventoryoftheentityoranydefinedsubset,includingindividualitemsofequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
